Montelino’s Discovery Mountain and Fairytale Forest
Children will discover that Saalbach Hinterglemm is the perfect holiday destination for them too. At Montelino’s Discovery Mountain, between the top and middle stations of the Kohlmaisgipfel lift, families can stop off at many fun activity points. Children can undertake an exciting journey with Montelino the clown, in beautiful mountain scenery. There are also many hours of enjoyment to be had in the Fairytale Forest in Hinterglemm, where lovingly carved figures show you the which way to go, and bring well-known fairy tales to life.
Kodok’s Expedition – Fun Geocaching
Kodok’s Expedition gives the chance for you to display courage and cleverness by finding the stolen clown’s hat in the magical forest. The goblin Kodok has hidden it, and you, armed with an adventure pass and a GPS unit, set out as a brave treasure seeker to solve the mystery of the clown’s hat in the fantasy world on the Reiterkogel mountain. Kodok’s Mountain offers families an exciting day out, and gives the chance to learn how to use a GPS unit in a fun environment. It is an ideal practice trail for prospective geocachers!
Schnitza’s Wood Park and Teufelswasser
At the head of the valley in Hinterglemm is a very special type of adventure playground. From the very young to playful adults, you are sure to find an activity that takes your fancy here. Everything in Schnitza’s Wood Park focuses on the substance wood. There is an impressive exhibition about the art of woodcarving, carving courses are available, and there are many creative games to try out. Have a go at competitive milking on ”Resi” the wooden cow, pendulum bowling, extreme crazy golf, a tree disc puzzle, balancing beams and posts, wooden balls to catch, and lots more besides.
Right next to the Wood Park, water fans will love the many fun attractions there are to visit. Throughout the summer, you can enjoy the magical world of the head of the valley “Teufelswasser” in Saalbach Hinterglemm, totally free of charge. Here you will find a Kneipp pool, fishpond, playhouse in the wood, mill wheel, rock pool, cave walk, Alpine herb trail, and a kingdom of stone dragons, fairies, dwarves, and dancing forest spirits.
Cap’n Hook Adventure Pool
If you still haven’t run around enough or not discovered enough, then the outdoor pool is the right place to go. The new outdoor complex provides a unique bathing experience, under the motto “Cap’n Hook”: 1000 m² of water with a wild water channel, climbing net, massage beds, whirlpool bench, swing bay, rain zone, tyre slide, and wide wave slide.
As well as all this, there is a beach volleyball court, an open-air cinema for children, and a restaurant.
Treetop Walk and Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps
The Saalbach Hinterglemm high ropes park sets new standards as one of the longest pedestrian suspension bridges in the Alps. The Treetop Walk in the head of the valley in Hinterglemm is the highest treetop walkway in Europe. It, together with the Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps, makes up a 1 km circular walk in the treetops, and incorporates a unique 200 m long suspension bridge at a height of approximately 40 m above the ground. You are sure to get an adrenaline kick, and be able to take some unforgettable photos.
Largest High Ropes Park in Austria
The High Ropes Park in the head of the valley at Saalbach Hinterglemm is made up of various courses of different levels, from 3 to 40 m in height, offering new challenges of courage and skill, with fun tasks, unusual views, and above all, lots of fun. There are different elements and stations requiring climbing, balancing, sliding, and swinging across a large variety of ropes and bridge constructions.
